8.00am: THE ACT OF CONSECRATION OF MAN
7.30pm: The Transitions of Childhood: Talk by Cheryl Nekvapil. In the meeting room at Noosa Pengari Steiner School, 86 Nyell Rd., Doonan.
This interesting talk will cover the 3 major transitions that occur during the school aged child’s development.
Cheryl will look at the changes that affect the inner and outer landscape of the child during these phases and how we can best meet their needs at home and at school.
· 6-7 yr “first puberty” transition
· 9-10 yr “rubicon’s crossing”
· 12-14 yr teenage transition
A wonderful talk for parents and teachers alike!
Cheryl Nekvapil is former kindergarten teacher and founding parent of the Orana Steiner School in Canberra. She was ordained as a priest in the Christian Community in 2002 after studying in Germany and is now a school chaplain. Cheryl is a mother of four and a grandmother of two; and brings much experience, wisdom and inspiration to her presentations. |
