ST JOHN’S TIDE

Thursday 24th June – ST JOHN’S DAY     Mark 1: 1-11                       
Read the Gospel Reading for ourselves and sense our  own individual possibilities of a change of heart and mind.
Friday 26th June     No service

Saturday 27th June
3.30pm – 5.30pm: Meeting of the Management Committee at 32 Rivers St, Weston.  All welcome.
Sunday 27th June    ST JOHN’S TIDE   Mark 1: 1-11
10.15am:  Gospel Study on the reading for the day.

5.00 pm:     ST JOHN’S FESTIVAL.  Shine light into the darkness, look for a change of heart and mind so that we invite the Light of The World into our lives!  Bring finger food to share by the fire afterwards. The evening will finish by 7.30pm.

8.00 am:    The Act of Consecration of Man
8.45 am:     Death & Dying - Study & Discussion.  These sessions are time for learning, sharing experiences and remembering those who have died.  All welcome.
Open Chapel until 12 noon.

4.00pm–5.30pm: Confirmation Preparation classes 6 – 8.

Saturday 31st July
3.30pm – 5.30pm:  Management Committee Meeting at
32 Rivers St., Weston.  All welcome.

10.15 am:    The Sunday Service for Children followed by a walk with the children, feeling and observing nature in winter!

10:15 am:      Presentation from Jayne and Joseph Tandl, and Cheryl Nekvapil on their recent trips to Europe and the international events they attended in The Christian Community.  Our view of our congregation changes when we experience it in the context of an international movement.

1.30pm – 4.30pm:  “Development of The Sense of Touch and A Sense of The Other”:  Talk and workshop with Margaret Shaw, author, teacher and therapist.  (see newsletter for details)

Sunday 15th August—TRINITY     Luke 9: 1 - 17
9.00 am:     The Act of Consecration of Man
10.15 am:      “Encountering Evil and Doing the Good – Thoughts arising from the Biographies of Kaspar Hauser, Rudolf Steiner and Adolf Hitler”.    A talk by John Shaw from Sydney, in reference to themes he has shared with us over the years.

Friday 20th August
8.00am:      The Act of Consecration of Man

9.00am:      The Act of Consecration of Man
10:15am  The Sunday Service for Children followed by story, drama games and play rehearsal for Michaelmas: dragons, crowds, maidens, knights and musicians of all ages needed.  Bring a plate to share for morning-tea.

Wednesday 25th August
7.30pm:  Study Group--St Luke’s Gospel Lectures by Rudolf Steiner.  At  12 Glennie Pl., Queanbeyan.

Friday 27th August
8.00 am:     The Act of Consecration of Man

10.15 am:                     Eurythmy Performance by Wanderlight  Eurythmy Company – and musicians.  These performances have been a special item on our programme, and again we can enjoy what the company have brought on tour from Victoria.
